Three happy potters enjoying one of my workshops
“Clay loves an optimist!.”
When? 27th August and 8th October, 10am - 5pm
Who can come? Complete beginners to intermediate. With 3 wheels there are a maximum of 3 places; so why not bring a couple of friends?
What will I be doing? Learning and getting to grips with every stage and aspect of potting, including throwing, trimming and slip decorating. Choose your 3 favourite creations which I will then put through the firing process, ready for you to collect (or posted at cost of delivery) at a later date. Delicious, healthy lunch included!
How much? £150 per person, this includes all materials, firing, glazing, and a homemade healthy lunch.
How do I book? Drop me, Fi, an email, at fi.symondson@zen.co.uk
Throwing is a visceral and often cathartic experience. I teach you to work with clay through feel and touch rather than theoretical language. The workshops are very ‘hands on’.
Be prepared for your pots to wobble, wonk and collapse. You will make mistakes, but you will quickly learn from them.
As well as potting, you will have the opportunity to enjoy my other great love - fresh, vibrant food. Using home-grown ingredients from the garden and serving up in dishes I've thrown, I provide a hearty healthy lunch to fuel us for the day's endeavours.
“Your studio is ideal and is my dream one day! I feel like I have learnt so much from you in just one day and am very excited to take up potting full time. Not only that, but I’ve learnt another courgetti recipe - delicious lunch!”
